Carnitas Pulled Pork

Using your slow cooker makes it extra easy to have authentic, full of flavor carnitas that are perfect for any Mexican style dish.

Carnitas Pulled Pork

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp. chili powder
  • 3 tsp. ground cumin
  • 3 tsp. dried oregano
  • 3 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 5 lb. pork shoulder
  • 2 onions, quartered
  • 3 tbsp. lime juice
  • 1 tbsp. minced garlic
  • 1 (20 oz.) can pineapple tidbits in 100% pineapple juice, juice only

Instructions

  1. Combine spices and rub all over pork.
  2. Add to a slow cooker with remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low until pork is tender, about 8 hours.
  3. Let cool and shred pork.
