Hometown Food Company Recalls Select Five Pound Bags of Pillsbury Unbleached Flour
Products may be contaminated with Salmonella
Hometown Food Company has recalled select five-pound bags of its Pillsbury Unbleached Flour because they may be contaminated with Salmonella. This product is being recalled out of an abundance of caution. To date, there have been no reports of any illnesses associated with this recall.
Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis.
