The Anderson Family

Illinois

Skyler and Alex Anderson are from the Gifford, Illinois area and attend private school. Skyler is in 9th grade and thrives in her private school environment. She is described as outgoing, smart and hard-working. Volunteering, cross country track and cheerleading are activities that Skyler truly enjoys. Alex is a 6th grader who hopes to one day be a doctor or veterinarian. She loves her school, which she’s attended since Kindergarten, as well as running and dancing.

The Belles Family

Missouri

Miranda Belles is a sophomore studying at The University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. She describes herself as respectful, trustworthy, goal orientated, and sets high expectations for herself. Miranda is a member of the Air Force ROTC program at her University and aspires to join the United States Air Force upon graduation from college. She enjoys volunteering at events around her college campus and being active with her ROTC program.

The Brech Family

Missouri

Timothy Brech is a Freshman studying Elementary Education with a minor in Coaching at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, MO. He calls Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and is the youngest of four children. Timothy enjoys all aspects of education and hopes to become a teacher and coach after he graduates college. He describes himself as “quiet” but a good listener”. Upon graduation from college, he plans to work as a Math teacher and coach Football.

The Cabrera Family

Illinois

Cristiano Cabrera is a junior from O’Fallon, Illinois, attending Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville and studying Mechanical Engineering. He is a first-time Folds of Honor scholarship awardee who has been involved with many music programs, both as a participant and as a teacher throughout high school and college. In the future, not only does Cristiano want to participate in the field of engineering and drafting, but he would also like to teach future engineers and drafters.

The Cassidy Family

Missouri

Michael Albert Cassidy is a sophomore studying General Studies with a Medical Focus at University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. He calls St. Robert, Missouri home and has been a wrestler for much of his life. He began wrestling at age four and has dreamed of performing at a high level his entire life. He made his dream come true and is now a Division I wrestler- Student Athlete, who is learning how to maneuver his first year away from home. He describes himself as “stubborn” and “hardheaded” but also “caring”.

The Deason Family

Missouri

Jayden and Kayler Deason are from the Cedar Hill, Missouri area and attend private school. Jayden is an 11th grader who - takes his academics very seriously, as is evidenced by his 4.0 (or higher) GPA. After years of being asked to play, he has finally made the decision to give football a try. Kayler, who is in 9th grade, is described by her mom as being “beautiful inside and out.” She dances competitively and has an incredible singing voice. An excellent student, Kayler loves math but isn’t so fond of history.

Illinois

The Delgado children have been Children’s Fund Scholarship recipients since 2018. Ohani is currently in 9th grade, Alex in 7th grade, and Gloria is a 4th grader – all attending private school in the Beach Park, Illinois area. While each of the children have their own unique character, talents and personality, there are two things they all have in common: a deep love of family and the strong desire to do well in school.

The Kisseloff Family

Missouri

Mulit-Year Folds of Honor Scholarship Recipient Serena Kisseloff is studying Psychology and Sociology at Lindenwood University in Saint Charles, Missouri. She describes herself as resilient, strong, and goofy. She has faced much adversity in her young age, by losing both of her parents and has grown strong from it. She enjoys her friends and leans on her family when she needs too. Upon graduation from College, she has plans to continue on into a master’s program with hopes of helping others who have faced the same challenges she has.

The Lindstrom Family

Illinois

Olivia and Riley Lindstrom have a very special bond. Not only are they sisters, but they happen to be twins! The girls have been Children’s Fund Scholarship recipients since 2014, when they began Kindergarten. Their mom, Tara, is also a former scholarship recipient and everyone calls them “The Lindstrom Girls”. Both Olivia and Riley are excellent students and competitive figure skaters. They want to become Paleontologists and plan to attend Northern Arizona University for their post-high school studies.

The McKey Family

Indiana

Jordan McKey is a sophomore from Indianapolis attending Ball State University and studying Computer Information Systems. He has been a Higher Education Scholarship recipient for two years. During his free time, Jordan enjoys coding with different programs, assisting the hall council of his dorm with events and playing basketball with friends. After graduation he’d like to secure a job helping solve Cyber Security crimes.

The Miller Family

Missouri

Gabriela Miller just completed her freshman year studying Psychology at Saint Louis University in Saint Louis, Missouri. Her friends would describe her as caring, the “mom” of the friend group, helpful, quiet and reserved. Gabby likes to help people and to keep trying even when life gets difficult and hard. Upon graduation from college she hopes to work with people that have been diagnosed with PTSD.

The Morrall Family

Indiana

Tiadelaine Morrall is a senior attending Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) studying Finance in Business and will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in May 2021. After starting her higher education studies 15 years earlier, Tia put things on hold to focus on her family; specifically, raising her daughter. Now an honor student in the Kelley School of Business, she is extremely excited about what the future holds.

The Quarles Family

Illinois

Jaliyah and Xavier Quarles are first-time scholarship recipients for the 2020-21 school year and attend a private school in the Winthrop, Illinois area. Jaliyah is a 7th grader who enjoys running track, cross country and playing basketball. She is described as resilient, for being able to adapt after all the family moves during her parents’ military service. Xavier is in 4th grade and likes to read. He can tell you anything you want to know about sharks! Both love their school, their teachers, and the excellent education they are receiving.

The Scher Family

Indiana

Nicky Scher is a sophomore from Macy, Indiana attending Purdue University and studying Actuarial Science. One thing that makes her unique is the fact that she graduated from high school a year early. Nicky decided she wanted to continue to challenge herself and grow in her education – and the best way to do that was to finish high school and go on to college. She spent her freshman year at Indiana University and then transferred to Purdue in the fall of 2020.

Illinois

Jahla Stephens of Crete, Illinois is a sophomore attending Prairie State College and studying Nursing. When not focusing on her course work, she enjoys reading, crafts, music and playing the clarinet. Upon completing her nursing degree, Jahla is considering the possibility of becoming a Nurse Practitioner. Five words she would use to describe herself are: independent, intelligent, creative, quiet, and trustworthy. Jahla is a first-time Higher Education scholarship recipient.
