Donate Your Schnucks Rewards program

The Donate Your Schnucks Rewards program will enable customers to choose the option to donate their Schnucks Rewards Points to nonprofit organizations from a predetermined list using their Schnucks Rewards app or on the Schnucks website. Once donated, Rewards Points will translate to a monetary donation to the nonprofit.

General Program Information

What is the Donate Your Schnucks Rewards program?

The Donate Your Schnucks Rewards program will enable customers to choose the option to donate their Schnucks Rewards Points to nonprofit organizations from a predetermined list using their Schnucks Rewards app or on the Schnucks website. Once donated, Rewards Points will translate to a monetary donation to the nonprofit.

How does the program work?

Beginning on May 5, 2021, when Schnucks Rewards members are logged in, via the app or on our website, they will have the option to donate their Rewards Points to preselected nonprofits organizations in the following cause categories:

  • Fighting Food Insecurity
  • Developing the Workforce
  • Promoting Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
  • Youth and Education
  • Health and Wellness
  • Animal Welfare

How do customers donate their Schnucks Rewards Points? Do they have to donate all of their Points?

Beginning on May 5, 2021, Rewards Customers via the app or on our website, when Schnucks Rewards members are logged in, they will have the option to:

  • Donate all Rewards points to one nonprofit at one time.
  • Donate a portion of their Rewards to one nonprofit.
  • Select one nonprofit to automatically donate Rewards points to on an ongoing basis.

Can customers participate while shopping with Schnucks Delivers and Curbside Pickup?

Schnucks customers who participate in the Schnucks Rewards program can earn Points on all purchases made for Schnucks Delivers purchases for both delivery and Curbside Pickup.

When Schnucks hosts a “Round Up at the Register” campaign, will Donate Your Rewards be available to customers?

Yes - When Schnucks hosts a “Round Up at the Register” campaign, the nonprofit benefactor of the Round Up will be included as an option of Donate Your Rewards, but customers can choose from other participating nonprofits as well.

Nonprofit Partner Questions

How were nonprofit organizations selected to participate in the program?

Selection for the program was based on six cause categories as well as the interest of our Schnucks customers in the program. In addition, Schnucks’ Community Engagement team conducted research with store teams in all of our communities and made recommendations based upon the nonprofit’s core mission and its alignment with the identified cause categories.

Are there any requirements for participation in the Donate Your Schnucks Rewards program?

While participating in the Donate Your Schnucks Rewards program, nonprofits are required to be in good standing with the Internal Revenue Service, Schnucks, and the community they serve.

How long can nonprofits participate in the program?

As long as the participating nonprofits remain in good standing with the IRS and Schnucks, nonprofits will continue in the program for one year. After one year, program participants may be updated; however it is possible that the nonprofit could be selected to participate again in the future.

Are there any costs for participating nonprofits?

There are no costs for nonprofit organizations participating in the Donate Your Schnucks Rewards program.

When should nonprofit organizations expect to receive donations from the program?

Schnucks will issue donations twice per year to participating nonprofits - one in July and one in December - with the first payment coming in 2021 on or near December 15th.

How will customers know they can participate to support our organization?

Nonprofit organizations will be added based on a customer’s “home store” in the Schnucks Rewards App and website via a customer’s login. We have divided our area into 16 different geographic areas, and your organization will appear in customers who have the following stores listed.

Who should nonprofit organizations contact if they have questions or concerns about the program?

Nonprofit organizations should contact the Schnucks Community Engagement team at donateyourrewards@schnucks.com or at (314) 994-4438.

Questions Regarding eScrip

What is becoming of the eScrip program? Are customers still able to pick their favorite nonprofit and donate through eScrip?

Schnucks’ partnership with eScrip ends on May 31, 2021. The Donate Your Schnucks Rewards program will serve as the new way shoppers can support their favorite causes based on the predetermined list selected by Schnucks.

How will eScrip participants be notified the program will discontinue?

eScrip is a third-party vendor, and therefore, Schnucks does not have direct access to customer data in order to contact participants directly to inform them of the change. The notification will come on eScrip side; however, we notify all Schnucks Rewards members via email about the new program.
