Eight Ways to Celebrate 314 Day

ARTICLES

It’s 314 Day! Here’s some ways to celebrate being a St. Louisan and fellow 314 area-coder.

For those of us born and bred in St. Louis, March 14th is all about hometown love. 314 Day (named after the St. Louis metro area code) is a 24-hour period when we all come together to uplift and showcase our city. Hometown glory is in full effect, no matter if you are downtown, midtown, the county or the burbs.

Schnucks was born and raised in St. Louis over 80 years ago, and we continue to show appreciation for this wonderful city.

We are sharing Eight Foodie Favorites to Celebrate 314 Day with items that are unique to our city. Let’s go!

The Gerber

15-Minute Lunch, 30-Minute Dinner, Cheese, Local, Pork, Sandwiches, Tacos & Wraps

Loved locally, the Gerber originates from St. Louis’ Ruma’s Deli and is named after the owners’ neighbor, Dick Gerber. Did you know: Mr. Gerber used to make his own sandwiches in the Ruma’s kitchen and this one (now known as “the Gerber”) was so well-loved, it earned a permanent spot on the menu.
